Peshawar: In a significant meeting chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Apex Committee convened to discuss the current law and order situation across the province. The meeting was attended by the Provincial Finance Minister, Corps Commander Peshawar, Chief Secretary, IGP, and senior civil and military officials, reflecting the strong commitment to enhance security measures.
During the session, participants conducted a comprehensive review of the law and order situation, especially focusing on districts experiencing heightened security challenges.
Lengthy discussions culminated in the formulation of a new action plan, aimed at reinforcing security protocols and addressing the deteriorating conditions in certain areas.
As a mark of respect, the committee recited Fatiha for the martyrs of security forces and law enforcement agencies who sacrificed their lives in service of peace.
Chief Minister Gandapur expressed deep gratitude for their dedication, acknowledging their heroic contributions in safeguarding the province.
The committee emphasized the importance of joint efforts between the civil government, security forces, and the public to effectively combat terrorism and restore stability.
To strengthen law enforcement in some districts, it was decided that the police would take a lead role in maintaining order, supported by an enhanced capacity-building strategy for both the police and civil administration.
These strategic decisions reflect the provincial government’s commitment to reinforcing security measures and ensuring a safer environment for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
