Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who has been absent from the screen for several years, is set to make a return with a romantic comedy for Netflix. The project will be produced by his uncle, the acclaimed Indian actor Aamir Khan, through his production company, Aamir Khan Productions.
In a recent interview with India Today Digital, Khan reflected on his hiatus from filmmaking, noting that his return has been a gradual process. “I don’t have a clear answer to that. It’s not for lack of trying,” Khan explained. “I’m having conversations with writers, directors, and producers, trying to find something that really sparks.”
He further shared, “At this point, two stories have kind of resonated with me, which I’m developing with the directors, but they’re not close to becoming full projects yet. So, I don’t have a confirmed film or show that I’m committed to at the moment.”
Khan also mentioned that he is exploring two additional stories to which he feels a strong connection, though these are still in the early stages of development.
