LAHORE: Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former chief minister of Punjab, has once again experienced health issues and has been admitted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) in Islamabad.
This comes just three days after he was initially taken to RIC from Adiala Jail due to a decline in his health.
After undergoing a series of tests, which showed no issues, the 76-year-old former minister was discharged and sent back to Jail. However, today he complained of chest pains and has been transported to RIC for medical treatment.
Updates on Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s health will be provided as more information becomes available. It’s worth noting that Elahi is among several PTI leaders and workers who have faced arrests in the government’s crackdown on PTI leadership following the violent riots that occurred in the country after Imran Khan’s initial arrest on May 9.
