Beijing: A Chinese defence company has claimed that its artificial intelligence system detected four US B-2 Spirit stealth bombers at the start of the Iran conflict, according to a report.
The B-2 Spirit, also known as the original “Stealth Bomber,” is one of the most advanced aircraft in the United States military fleet.
According to WION, Hangzhou-based defence firm Jingan Technology claimed that it intercepted radio signals from four B-2 bombers with the call signs Petro 41 to Petro 44.
The company also claimed that its AI system reconstructed the flight path of the bombers over Iran.
However, the report said the company has not provided recordings, transcripts or other evidence to support its claim.
AI System Reportedly Tracked Signals
According to the report, Jingan Technology said its Jingqi war-monitoring system detected signs of US-Israel military activity in the region before the conflict began.
The company claimed that its system analyzed a sequence of signals showing that the United States was preparing for military action.
It also reportedly used open-source intelligence from February 6, when US-Iran talks on Iran’s missile programme began.
The analysis allegedly showed a steady increase in US military deployments near Iran.
B-2 Bombers Tracked on March 1
The specific tracking of the B-2 bombers reportedly took place on March 1.
This was one day after the United States and Israel allegedly struck initial targets in Iran.
According to the report, a social media post later claimed that the Jingqi system had picked up radio transmissions from the B-2 bombers while they were returning from the mission.
Jingan Technology also claimed that its AI system was able to reconstruct the bombers’ flight route.
B-2 Bombers Used in Major US Operations
The B-2 Spirit bomber has played an important role in several US military operations.
It has been used in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The aircraft has also reportedly been used in recent operations against Iran, including Operation Midnight Hammer and Operation Epic Fury.
The report about the Chinese firm’s claim was first highlighted by Interesting Engineering in March.
System Uses Open-Source and Satellite Data
According to reports cited by WION, the Jingqi system uses satellite imagery, aviation trajectory data and public military records.
The system is said to interpret reconnaissance flight patterns and identify aircraft types stationed at military bases.
Reports also said Jingan Technology provides intelligence-gathering services to China’s People’s Liberation Army.
No Independent Verification Yet
Despite the claims, there has been no independent confirmation that the B-2 bombers were actually detected.
The company has not released proof such as recordings or detailed technical data.
Because of this, the claim that the US stealth bombers were compromised remains unverified.
Military analysts are likely to watch the matter closely because the B-2 bomber is designed to avoid detection by advanced radar and surveillance systems.
For now, the report remains a claim made by a Chinese defence firm, without public evidence to confirm it.
