PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has written a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing serious concerns over the removal of KP projects from the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government excluded 91 development projects of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from federal development plan.
Gandapur expressed his disappointment with the Planning Committee’s decision, emphasizing the significant negative impact this exclusion would have on the province.
The Chief Minister stated that excluding ongoing development projects contradicts the agreements made during the meetings of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the National Economic Council (NEC).
In his letter, Gandapur referred to a previous NEC meeting and reiterated the importance of prioritizing the completion of ongoing projects.
He warned that the federal government’s exclusion of these development initiatives would worsen the province’s already existing deprivation.
