ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has stopped final notification of the Islamabad’s constituencies NA-46, NA-47, NA-48 after hearing the complaints of PTI-backed independent candidates .
earlier on Saturday, the ECP candidates NA-46, NA-47, NA-48 have been directed to appear along with the polling agents’ at the Returning Officers office on Sunday at 11 am. Similarly, candidates vying for NA-47 have been summoned on February 11 at 12 noon.
During these briefings, Returning Officers will provide crucial information to the candidates regarding their respective ballot boxes and other important election-related details.
It’s notable that retired candidates have been excluded from the list of individuals called for the summons, streamlining the process and ensuring that only active contenders are involved in the electoral proceedings.
PTI candidates from NA-46 and NA-48 claim to have won the elections with 42,000 and 50,000 votes respectively.
