Web Desk: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced that he will soon visit Pakistan, reaffirming his commitment to supporting the development of football in the country.
Speaking in an interview, the Swiss-Italian football administrator said he had also promised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that he would visit Pakistan in the near future.
Infantino praised recent developments within the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), saying that the federation now has a new president who is doing “excellent work” to rebuild and strengthen football structures in the country.
“Pakistan is a great football nation,” Infantino said, expressing optimism about the future of the sport in the country.
He added that FIFA wants to see Pakistan emerge as a strong football team in Asia and that efforts are already underway to help achieve this goal.
The announcement has raised hopes among football fans and stakeholders, who see the visit as a positive step towards the revival of football activities and international engagement in Pakistan.
