Islamabad: In a tragic incident on the Srinagar Highway, miscreants deliberately rammed a vehicle into Rangers personnel, resulting in the martyrdom of four Rangers and leaving five other security personnel, including police officers, severely injured, according to security sources.
The attack marks a significant escalation in violence against law enforcement agencies, reportedly attributed to elements associated with PTI miscreants. So far, four Rangers personnel and two police officers have been martyred in similar attacks, with over 100 police officers sustaining injuries, many of them critical.
Army Called in Under Article 245
In light of the deteriorating law and order situation, the Pakistan Army has been deployed under Article 245 of the Constitution to assist in restoring peace. Security sources have confirmed that strict measures have been implemented to curb the unrest.
Shoot-on-Sight Orders Issued
Authorities have issued clear directives to deal firmly with miscreants and disruptors, emphasizing the use of an “iron hand” to handle lawbreakers. Miscreants and elements involved in terrorist activities have been given shoot-on-sight orders to prevent further violence and protect public safety.
The incidents have raised alarm among citizens, with many urging swift and decisive action to ensure the safety of law enforcement agencies and the public. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible for these heinous acts.
