Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan have broken all previous records, witnessing a sharp increase on Thursday and reaching their highest-ever level.
According to market sources, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs6,500, pushing the new rate to Rs521,162 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs5,573, taking it to Rs446,812, reflecting strong upward momentum in the local bullion market.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $65 per ounce, reaching a historic high of $4,988 per ounce, which directly impacted domestic rates.
Meanwhile, silver prices also climbed sharply, with the per tola rate rising by Rs526 to reach a new peak of Rs10,801.
Market analysts attribute the surge to global economic uncertainty, inflation concerns, and increased investor demand for safe-haven assets.
