ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has formed a special bench on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder Imran Khan both appeals in Toshakhana and cipher case.
According to the details, the registrar high court fixed appeals of Imran Khan for hearing on February 26 (Monday). This special bench included chief justice Aamir Farooq and justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
This bench will also be hearing two pleas regarding cancel the punishment and another one is about granting bail.
PTI’s leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s appeals also fixed for hearing in cipher case on Monday. On the other Bushra Bibi’s plea also fixed for hearing in Toshakhana case.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were convicted in the Toshakhana case and disqualified from holding public office for 14 years and disqualified from holding public office for the next 10 years.
Former prime minister Imran Khan was also has been jailed for 10 years in a case where they were charged with leaking state secrets in which the US undermined his government and that hinted the US administration wanted to remove Imran Khan from power. Khan maintains his ouster in April 2022 was orchestrated by the country’s powerful on the order of Washington.
“I think if a no-confidence vote against the prime minister succeeds, all will be forgiven in Washington,” Lu allegedly told Asad Majeed Khan, who sent the details of the conversation to Islamabad through a secret diplomatic cable.
