ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued an order on Friday to expunge the name of former federal minister Shireen Mazari from the Passport Control List (PCL).
Details reveal that Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the IHC had previously reserved the decision on a petition seeking the removal of Shireen Mazari’s name from the passport control list.
The court deemed the inclusion of Shireen Mazari’s name in the passport control list as both unfair and illegal. In response, it directed the Director General (DG) Immigration to promptly remove her name from the PCL and submit a report within a week.
It’s worth noting that Shireen Mazari’s name had been added to the PCL based on a recommendation from the Islamabad Police.
