ISLAMABAD: An IndiGo Airline flight en route from Jeddah to Hyderabad Deccan in India was compelled to make an emergency landing at Karachi airport due to the deteriorating health of a female passenger.
The pilot, citing the urgent situation, sought permission for the landing at 4:15 am Thursday local time, with Karachi Air Traffic Control granting approval on humanitarian grounds.
Despite efforts to address the health crisis, a subsequent medical examination revealed that the female passenger, identified as Hajira Bibi, had tragically passed away.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed this unfortunate outcome.
Following the necessary procedures, including the examination and confirmation of the passenger’s demise, the plane resumed its journey to Hyderabad Deccan at 6:15 am, now carrying the deceased passenger’s body.
