The lifeless body of a 20-year-old Hindu student, Amit Kumar, hailing from Shahdadkot, was discovered in the Hamdard University hostel in Karachi.
Amit, the sole brother to three sisters, pursuing his third year in computer science engineering, had been living alone in the hostel for the past two months.
The Hostel in charge, Abid Hussain, revealed that another student, Subhan, brought attention to the tragic incident.
Family member Raj Kumar shared that the preliminary examination by doctors suggested Amit’s demise was due to natural causes.
However, he emphasized that the actual cause of death would be confirmed after the post-mortem report.
Despite the police’s assertion that the student had passed away from natural causes two days earlier, an investigation is underway, with evidence collected from the hostel room.
Once legal formalities were completed, the authorities handed over Amit Kumar’s body to his grieving family.
In the quest for clarity, rescue officials transported the deceased student’s body to his hometown of Shahdadkot.
