The Federal Ministry of Education, anticipating the upcoming elections nationwide, has officially sanctioned a four-day break for schools in Islamabad.
This respite, spanning from February 6th to February 9th, is in response to the election proceedings. The notification, issued by the Federal Ministry on Thursday, outlines the temporary closure of both private and public schools in the city.
Notably, the majority of schools in Islamabad typically observe Saturday as a weekly holiday, prompting them to resume regular operations on Monday, February 12th.

Meanwhile, the electoral influence extends beyond the federal capital, as Punjab and Sindh provinces have already announced the closure of educational institutions within their boundaries during the same period, from February 6th to February 9th.
Adding to this, February 5th is marked as a public holiday in Pakistan for Kashmir Day. Consequently, a broader closure is observed across the educational spectrum, encompassing schools, colleges, and universities, spanning from February 5th to February 11th.
