KP Chief Minister Orders Immediate Repossession of Official Houses and Vehicles
Peshawar: In a strict move against the misuse of government resources, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has directed immediate action to reclaim official residences and vehicles occupied by unauthorized individuals.
According to an official notification, all government houses must be vacated by retired or transferred employees, and official vehicles must be returned without delay. The directive also instructs all departments to review cases where employees have been allotted more than one government residence.
The notification highlighted cases where husbands and wives were provided separate official houses or where government houses were allocated to employees who already owned private properties in Peshawar.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister has instructed the Planning and Development Department to submit a comprehensive list of all government vehicles purchased in the last ten years. Cabinet members and administrative secretaries have also received formal directives, as some officials reportedly retained government vehicles even after retirement or transfers.
Suhail Afridi emphasized that misuse of government resources will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
