The KP government work from home policy has been introduced, allowing all provincial government offices to operate remotely on Fridays. The move, announced by the Establishment and Administration Department, aims to conserve fuel and cut administrative expenses.
This policy will initially remain in effect for two months or until conditions improve. By shifting to 100% remote work on Fridays, the government hopes to reduce employee commuting and lower petrol and diesel consumption across the province.
In addition to the remote work initiative, the government has declared spring holidays for all public and private educational institutions starting March 24. Combined with the weekend from Friday to Sunday, students will get up to four consecutive days off.
The notification clarified that board and university examinations will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by these holidays. Officials emphasized that the KP government work from home policy is a temporary measure designed to promote efficiency and environmental responsibility.
