Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators turned into a one-sided contest as Multan cruised to a six-wicket win in the 13th match of PSL Season 11 at Lahore. The chase looked simple from the start, and the Sultans reached the target with 15 balls to spare.
The game shifted early when Sahibzada Farhan and Steven Smith launched a quick attack. They added 71 runs in just five overs and put Quetta under pressure. Farhan played a short but fiery knock, scoring 32 off 14 balls with clean hitting before losing his wicket.
Smith then took charge and kept the innings steady. After Farhan’s departure, Multan lost a couple of quick wickets, including Josh Philippe. Still, the momentum stayed with the batting side. Shan Masood joined Smith and played a calm role as the pair added valuable runs to keep the chase on track.
Smith led the way with a smooth 53 off 35 balls. He timed his shots well and ensured there were no surprises in the chase. After his dismissal, Hasan Nawaz picked up another wicket, but the target was already within reach.
Masood stayed till the end and finished the match unbeaten on 46 from 30 balls. His innings included a couple of boundaries and sixes, helping Multan cross the line comfortably in the 18th over.
Earlier in the Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators clash, Quetta posted 166 for 7 after choosing to bat first. Saud Shakeel stood out with a solid 56, while Byron Jacob added 49 to give the innings some strength. However, the total did not prove enough against a confident Sultans side.
For Multan, Muhammad Nawaz led the bowling effort with three wickets, while Arfat Minhas and Ashton Turner also contributed. Quetta’s bowlers tried to respond, with Hasan Nawaz picking up two wickets, but they could not stop the flow of runs.
Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators once again highlighted Multan’s strong batting depth and control in run chases, keeping them in a good position in the tournament.
