Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is on an official visit to the United Kingdom. During his trip, he was briefed on the modernization plan of the British Army and the Deep Recce Strike Brigade. The military’s media wing confirmed this on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army Chief visited Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons. The visit took place on the invitation of General Roland Walker, Chief of the General Staff of the UK Army.
During the visit, the British Army showcased advanced military technologies. These included artificial intelligence (AI) and uncrewed systems, highlighting the latest developments in modern warfare.
General Asim Munir also received a ceremonial guard of honor in the UK on February 19. His visit included participation in the seventh Regional Stabilisation Conference at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
At the conference, the Pakistan Army Chief delivered a keynote address titled “The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook.” This annual event fosters military dialogue between Pakistan and the UK. It also promotes cooperation among policymakers from both the civilian and military sectors. Experts from influential think tanks also attended the discussions.
