The Pakistan Army successfully stopped an infiltration attempt by militants near the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob district, Balochistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), six militants were neutralised during the operation.
The ISPR stated that security forces had prior intelligence about the movement of militants, identified as Khwarij, in the Sambaza area of Zhob. Acting on this information, the Pakistan Army intercepted the group before they could cross the border.
The operation led to the elimination of six militants. A large stockpile of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the location.
In its statement, the ISPR emphasized Pakistan’s repeated requests to the Interim Afghan Government to strengthen border management. The ISPR expressed hope that Afghanistan would meet its responsibilities and stop the use of its soil by Khwarij for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its dedication to protecting national borders. It also reiterated its commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace in the country.
