Pakistan and Iran have committed to strengthening their bilateral relations across various sectors.
This commitment was expressed during a phone call between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian.
Prime Minister Sharif congratulated Dr. Pezeshkian on his recent election victory and wished him a successful tenure. He emphasized his eagerness to collaborate closely with the Iranian President-elect to enhance Pakistan-Iran relations, particularly in trade, energy, and regional security.
Dr. Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s congratulations and voiced his intention to further deepen the fraternal ties between the two nations.
The leaders also discussed regional issues and agreed to maintain close coordination and consultation.
