PIA has shared an important update on UAE flights, announcing a temporary suspension of its Fujairah operations for 48 hours due to the current security situation in the Gulf region. The move reflects growing concerns over regional instability and its impact on air travel.
According to airline officials, flights will continue to operate only to Al Ain for now, while Fujairah-bound services remain on hold. This latest update on UAE flights by PIA has left many passengers adjusting their travel plans at short notice.
The disruption is not limited to one route. Air travel across Pakistan has seen major setbacks, with 83 flights to Middle Eastern destinations cancelled in a single day. Flights from Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar to Fujairah were completely suspended, with all scheduled services called off.
Karachi also faced significant cancellations, affecting routes to Doha, Bahrain, Baghdad, Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. Similarly, several flights from Lahore to Gulf cities were grounded, adding to the overall disruption.
The situation remains fluid, and PIA’s important update about UAE flights comes at a time when cancellations continue across multiple cities. Flights from Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, and Multan were also affected, although operations from Faisalabad to Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, and Madinah continued without interruption.
Officials say the ongoing Iran conflict, now in its nineteenth day, has played a major role in these disruptions. So far, more than two thousand flights from Pakistan have been cancelled, highlighting the scale of the situation.
Passengers are advised to stay informed and check their flight status before leaving for the airport, as further changes are possible.
