RAWALPINDI: One prisoner murdered and another prisoner sustained injuries during fighting erupted inside the Adiala Jail.
fatal altercation erupted within the confines of Adiala Jail, resulting in the murder of one inmate and serious injuries to another.
According to jail officials, Ejaz Rabbani lost his life in the brawl, while fellow inmate Ammad Ali sustained significant injuries.
Law enforcement authorities are currently gathering details to ascertain the cause of the altercation. They are also arranging for the transfer of the deceased inmate’s body and the injured prisoner to PIMS hospital in Islamabad.
Established in 1986, Central Jail, Rawalpindi, has a sanctioned capacity to accommodate 1,994 prisoners. However, it currently houses 4,337 inmates.
