RAWALPINDI: In a candid conversation with journalists during the open hearing of the cipher case at Adiala Jail, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo emphatically declared his readiness to “die but will not strike any deal or compromise.”
The former prime minister, addressing speculations, ruled out the possibility of any compromise.
Dismissive of allegations against Bushra Bibi made by Khawar Maneka, the PTI leader expressed resilience against slander aimed at the former first lady.
Imran Khan, recounting his marriage to Bushra Bibi, affirmed his readiness to testify under oath regarding their relationship.
In discussions with the media, the former prime minister predicted his party’s success in the upcoming February 8 polls, attributing his arrest to the “London Plan.”
Khan claimed the May 9 riots were also part of this plan, leading to the ‘illegal’ arrest and subsequent crackdown on PTI, resulting in over 10,000 arrests.
Despite his incarceration, Khan stated he faced no difficulties in jail. Addressing the cipher ‘conspiracy,’ he declared his intention to include former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and US embassy officials as witnesses in his defense.
Reflecting on his reign, Khan highlighted a significant drop in the country’s growth, asserting that it had plummeted from 6.17%.
The day concluded with a special court, formed under the Official Secrets Act, deciding to indict the PTI supremo and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case on December 12.
