ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Amir Masood Mughal, who was arrested and charged with terrorism at the Karachi Company police station.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra approved the bail with a surety bond of Rs 50,000. Amir Masood Mughal’s counsel, Ali Bukhari Advocate, represented him in the ATC.
Previously, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted an anti-encroachment operation at the PTI head office. Accompanied by the district administration, the team sealed the PTI head office in Sector G8/4.
Heavy machinery and police personnel were deployed outside the PTI central office. CDA officials stated that the demolition targeted illegal constructions of offices belonging to political parties.
The plot where the PTI office is situated is under scrutiny, as it was allotted to an individual named Sartaj Ali. However, there have been significant encroachments, including the construction of an additional floor, violating building by-laws.
Following the operation at the PTI head office, the capital police issued arrest orders for party members who resisted the operation.
