PESHAWAR: A Saudi Airline flight made an emergency landing at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan airport on Thursday when one of its landing gear caught fire.
Aviation authorities reported that the fire ignited on a flight from Riyadh during its landing at Peshawar airport.
Emergency protocols were immediately activated, and passengers and crew were swiftly evacuated using emergency slides.
Firefighting crews quickly responded and successfully extinguished the flames. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the passengers or crew.
Airport authorities and aviation experts are investigating the cause of the fire, with initial reports indicating that it started as the plane was touching down.
The incident caused temporary disruptions at Peshawar airport.
