Rawalpindi: A violent mob, posing as Baloch Raji Muchi members, assaulted security personnel on duty in Gwadar today, resulting in the martyrdom of Sepoy Shabbir Baloch.
The unprovoked attacks by the protesters also caused injuries to sixteen soldiers, including an officer. In response to the incident, false and malicious propaganda is being spread on social media using doctored pictures and videos to garner sympathy and support for the unlawful violent march.
Despite provocations, security forces have shown extreme restraint to avoid civilian casualties. The violent actions of the mob are unacceptable, and those responsible will be brought to justice.
All citizens are urged not to fall prey to the propaganda, to remain calm and peaceful, and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining public safety and order.
