Fortune Barishal is set to welcome back veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik upon the request of Tamim Iqbal in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). According to sources, Malik is scheduled to rejoin the team on February 2 and is anticipated to participate in the match against Khulna Tigers in Sylhet on February 3.
After leaving the BPL for personal reasons and heading to Dubai, Malik received a call from Tamim Iqbal, urging him to return to the team. Malik, who recently got married, had to address match-fixing allegations during his absence, which were refuted by both Malik and Fortune Barishal.
