In a horrific terror incident, nine Punjabi individuals were mercilessly gunned down by unidentified assailants in Nushki district, Balochistan. The victims, all hailing from Punjab, were passengers aboard a bus traveling along the National Highway from Quetta to Taftan. Their journey took a tragic turn when militants intercepted the bus, forcibly removed the passengers, and abducted them.
Despite a diligent search operation launched by the police, the bodies of the abductees were discovered beneath a bridge near a hill. Each victim had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
The deceased individuals were identified as laborers from Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad, and Gujranwala areas of Punjab, as confirmed by Nushki Superintendent of Police (SP) Allah Bukhsh.
Dr. Zafar Mengal, the Medical Superintendent at Nushki Teaching Hospital, disclosed that the victims had sustained gunshot wounds across various parts of their bodies.
Expressing outrage over the incident, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif demanded a comprehensive report. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and vowed to ensure the perpetrators and their accomplices face justice.
Similarly, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti vehemently condemned the brutal killings, emphasizing that those responsible for the heinous act would not be spared.
CM Bugti reaffirmed the government’s commitment to pursuing the terrorists behind the attack, asserting that their objective was to disrupt the peace of Balochistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi joined in condemning the barbaric incident, assuring the affected families of the government’s unwavering support during this trying time.
