PESHAWAR: Two paramilitary Frontier (FC) personnel were were martyred and four others were injured in early hours of the Friday terrorist attack on checkpost in Bara tehsil of Khyber tribal district.
According to initial reports, a joint checkpost of the Police and paramilitary Frontier Corps came under attack by militants in early hours of the morning in Bara Nala area of the Khyber Tribal District.
Reports say that heavy weapons, including hand grenades, were employed in the attack, leaving seven soldiers injured, alongside a policeman. As result two cops were martyred and 4 were injured who have been promptly transferred to Peshawar for medical assistance.
Soon after after the attack, a heavy contingent of police reached the site. The police surrounded the area and launched a search operation in the area for the fleeing militants.
