Security forces neutralized 15 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 15, 2025. The Pakistan Army launched the operations to eliminate threats posed by militant elements in the region.
According to details provided by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in the Hathala area of Dera Ismail Khan. Acting on intelligence reports, security forces raided the location where terrorists were hiding. In a fierce gun battle, nine militants were killed. Among them were high-value targets, including Farman, also known as Saqib, Amanullah, also known as Toori, Saeed, also known as Liaqat, and Bilal. These individuals were responsible for multiple terrorist activities and were wanted by law enforcement agencies.
In another successful terrorist operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces engaged insurgents in Miran Shah, North Waziristan. During this battle, six more terrorists were effectively eliminated. The operation aimed to dismantle extremist networks operating in the area.
Tragically, during the intense exchange of fire, Lieutenant Muhammad Hassaan Arshaf, a 21-year-old officer from Lahore, led his troops with exceptional bravery but embraced martyrdom. Three other soldiers also lost their lives in the line of duty. The fallen heroes include Naib Subedar Muhammad Bilal (39) from Dera Ismail Khan, Sepoy Farhat Ullah (27) from Lakki Marwat, and Sepoy Himat Khan (29) from Mohmand. Their sacrifice highlights the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s forces in fighting terrorism.
Following these operations, security forces launched a sanitization effort to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. The military remains steadfast in its mission to eradicate terrorism, ensuring peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sacrifices of these brave soldiers only strengthen the nation’s resolve to defeat extremism.
