LAHORE: The Australian cricket team has arrived in Pakistan to play the upcoming T20 International series against Pakistan.
A 17-member Australian squad landed in Lahore, where the players will take rest today ahead of the series opener.
The first T20I between Pakistan and Australia will be played on January 29 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Sources say Australia is likely to be led by Travis Head in the opening match, as regular captain Mitchell Marsh and wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis may be rested for the first game.
Both Marsh and Inglis played the Big Bash League final on Sunday, and the team management may decide to give them recovery time before they return to action.
The second T20I will be played on January 31, while the third and final match will take place on February 1, also at Gaddafi Stadium.
