Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has assured the government of his cooperation in approving the budget during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to sources, Bilawal expressed concerns to the prime minister, complaining that the government is not consulting the PPP in decision-making processes and that the federal government is not showing seriousness regarding various projects in Sindh.
The prime minister assured Bilawal that all reservations would be addressed.
Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto, accompanied by PPP leaders Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Sherry Rehman, and Khurshid Shah, arrived at the Prime Minister’s House for the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique were also present.
Sources indicate that the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto was scheduled for 4 pm but was delayed for a few hours.
