Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI’s founding leader Imran Khan, has reportedly issued a stern warning to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, demanding effective action and accountability in preparation for an upcoming Islamabad protest.
According to reports by AAJ TV, she emphasized that Gandapur’s continued position as CM hinges on his ability to mobilize and lead PTI supporters decisively this time.
Bushra Bibi expressed dissatisfaction with the participation levels in previous protests, alleging that many PTI officials and supporters marked their attendance without full commitment. She reportedly demanded that each Member of Parliament ensure a turnout of at least 5,000 supporters, including family members, while also managing food and transportation logistics.
Despite these demands, some PTI members reportedly expressed unease, particularly over bringing their families to the protest, but pressure from the leadership seems to be driving compliance. The upcoming demonstration is being framed as a critical moment for PTI, with Bushra Bibi’s intervention underlining the party’s escalating urgency to reassert its position in Pakistan’s political landscape.
