ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court on Wednesday summoned Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on November 29 in missing Baloch students case.
The court expressed dissatisfaction with the report from the federal ministerial committee on the 55 missing Baloch students and ordered the Prime Minister to appear before the court. The defense minister, interior minister, secretary defense, and secretary interior were also summoned.
Despite the additional advocate general’s request not to summon the prime minister, the court remarked that both Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti hail from Balochistan and should treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that it seems that the government is not taking the issue of Baloch missing students case serious. “I give you seven days’ time, implement the recommedations” Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayan responded to the additional advocate general’s request.
