The Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) have finished their investigation into the violence and arson that occurred on May 9. According to the reports, the JITs found all the accused guilty, including high-profile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) figures such as Fawad Chaudhry, Aleema Khan, and Uzma Khan.
The investigation, which focused on the violent acts and property damage that followed Imran Khan’s arrest, has now been concluded. The findings have been submitted to the court, which will move forward with the next phase.
The court has summoned the accused to present their final arguments. At the same time, the court extended the interim bail for all those accused until December 7.
The judge overseeing the hearing, ATC Judge Arshad Javed, granted a one-day exemption for Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan from appearing in court. However, the judge made it clear that this would be the final such concession.
During the hearing, the prosecution also noted that several accused individuals are facing other cases in courts in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Fawad Chaudhry, along with other accused, including Ms. Muzammil Masood Bhatti, appeared before the court as the investigation continues.
The next step will involve the presentation of final arguments by the defense, following the thorough investigation.
