Residents of Lakki Marwat and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have strongly criticised Chief Minister Suhail Afridi and the provincial government’s performance. Tired of repeated sit-ins and protest politics, people say they have lost patience with the PTI leadership.
The Suhail Afridi criticism comes as citizens describe the toll that the ongoing protests are taking on daily life across the province.
Gandi Chowk Protest Called a Failure
Residents of Lakki Marwat and nearby areas said the PTI protest at Gandi Chowk failed completely. They blamed the weak performance of the provincial government and a lack of public interest in the demonstration.
Business, Transport and Hospitals Affected
According to residents, the sit-ins are badly hurting business, employment and transport in the province. Access to hospitals has also been seriously affected.
Long March Disrupts Signals and Education
People in the area said the PTI long march has left mobile signals, business activity and the education system in the region completely paralysed.
Public Demands End to the Sit-In
Residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have called on Chief Minister Suhail Afridi to end the sit-in and move quickly toward negotiations.
