The martyrs of Tirah operation received full military honors during their funeral prayers, which took place in their hometowns on Tuesday.
The funeral prayer for Lt-Col Muhammad Hassan Haider, aged 42, a resident of DHA-2 Islamabad, who embraced shahadat in the Tirah Valley, Khyber District, occurred at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi. He was buried with full military honors in Islamabad.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Caretaker Defence Minister Anwar Ali Hyder, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir, and many senior civil and military officers, soldiers, citizens, and the shaheed’s relatives attended the funeral prayer.
Funeral prayers for Naik Khushdil Khan, aged 31, a resident of District Lakki Marwat, Naik Rafique Khan, aged 27, a resident of District Charsadda, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, aged 33, a resident of District Murree, were also offered in their respective hometowns.
The ISPR emphasized that the country’s armed forces remain determined to eradicate terrorism from the homeland, regardless of the cost.
