Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Saudi counterpart and discussed important matters, including Pakistan-Saudi relations and internal security cooperation.
During the meeting, both interior ministers exchanged Eid ul Adha greetings and expressed good wishes for each other.
The Saudi Interior Minister also congratulated Mohsin Naqvi on performing Hajj.
The meeting included a detailed discussion on bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Both sides reviewed cooperation in the field of internal security and agreed to further strengthen ties between the two brotherly countries.
The ministers also discussed ways to expand coordination on matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, it was decided that 200 personnel of the Federal Constabulary’s Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will receive training in Saudi Arabia.
The decision is aimed at improving professional capacity and enhancing security cooperation between the two countries.
To further increase bilateral cooperation, a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior will visit Pakistan soon.
The visit will focus on strengthening institutional coordination and exploring new areas of cooperation.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Saudi government for its excellent arrangements during Hajj.
He appreciated the facilities provided to pilgrims and thanked the Saudi leadership and authorities for their efforts.
Both interior ministers also discussed the latest regional situation.
