WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has rolled out a new feature that allows users to see which chats are consuming the most memory. This update addresses concerns many users have about their storage being filled up.
Many users are unaware of hidden WhatsApp tips that can enhance their experience, including a simple way to identify who they interact with most frequently. The following steps outline how to use the new feature to find out which chats are taking up the most space on your device:
- Open WhatsApp on your mobile phone.
- Tap the three dots (Menu) in the upper right corner.
- Go to “Settings.”
- Select “Storage and Data.”
- Click on “Manage Storage.”
In addition, Meta has announced plans to introduce a feature in 2027 that will allow support for third-party video and voice calls.
