Pakistan has strongly condemned the US sanctions on its National Development Complex and three affiliated companies. The government called the move biased and harmful to regional peace and security.
The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan’s strategic capabilities are focused solely on national defense and maintaining regional stability. It warned that the US sanctions jeopardize this stability and could have severe global consequences.
In a statement, the Foreign Office highlighted the vital importance of Pakistan’s strategic program. It emphasized that the program enjoys strong political support across all parties and is non-negotiable. The strategic program, it added, is a sacred trust of Pakistan’s 240 million citizens.
This strong condemnation came after the US announced sanctions on the National Development Complex, Affiliates International, Akhtar and Sons Private Limited, and Rockside Enterprise.
Pakistan believes these sanctions undermine its efforts to promote peace and security in the region. The Foreign Office reiterated that the country remains committed to safeguarding its national interests against such external pressures.
