Pakistan Identifies India and Afghanistan-Based Networks Behind Coordinated Anti-Pakistan Propaganda is rapidly climbing today’s search trends as security officials uncover a major disinformation operation targeting the country. The investigation highlights a web of fake accounts, cross-border manipulation, and coordinated attempts to destabilize Pakistan through digital warfare.
Security agencies revealed that multiple accounts on X (formerly Twitter) were running a “systematic and provocative” propaganda drive against Pakistan. Investigators found fake profiles, impersonation attempts, and accounts pretending to represent the Afghan Taliban.
Officials said these networks consistently spread disinformation to fuel division and create internal unrest.
Evidence Points to State-Backed Indian Network
According to the assessment, one cluster allegedly linked to India operated under the banner Fitna-ul-Hindustan. Investigators claim this network circulated inflammatory content and rumours attacking Pakistan’s state institutions.
Authorities believe segments of the Indian cluster exhibit signs of state-level support, intensifying concerns about hybrid warfare tactics aimed at undermining Pakistan’s stability.
Security officials reported that Afghan-linked accounts relied on fake identities and fabricated profiles. These accounts repeatedly amplified anti-Pakistan narratives, contributing to what investigators describe as a broader regional effort to “destabilize” the country through digital influence operations.

Authorities confirmed that monitoring efforts will continue, and further action may follow against any account involved in coordinated disinformation campaigns.
Officials added that Pakistan intends to raise the issue through diplomatic channels and cyber-security forums to counter cross-border digital interference.
Despite the growing concerns, platforms identified in the investigation have not issued any public statement.
Officials say Pakistan will continue to push for stronger action against malicious networks that threaten its internal stability and national security.
