The Pakistan National Selection Committee revealed the squad for the upcoming tour of Ireland and England. The announcement was made by national selectors Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq, and Bilal Afzal during a press conference in Lahore.
The squad for the Ireland and England series comprises 18 members, with the selection for the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to commence in June in America and the West Indies, set to follow after the first T20 against England.
Babar Azam retains his position as the team’s captain. Muhammad Rizwan and Azam Khan make their comeback after recuperating from injuries, while fast bowler Haris Rauf also rejoins the team.
Additionally, the squad includes Iftikhar Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Naseem Shah, and Muhammad Amir. Other players in the mix are Hassan Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, and Shadab Khan.
Usama Mir and Zaman Khan find themselves excluded from the squad this time around.
