Pakistani security forces eliminated 11 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations carried out against fighters linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan, security officials confirmed. The raids took place across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, targeting militant hideouts identified through prior surveillance and tip-offs.
The coordinated actions unfolded in South Waziristan and Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the Sasool area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan.
Details of the Intelligence-Based Operations
In Bannu, security personnel tracked down and killed two Fitna al-Khawarij militants during a targeted raid. Officials said weapons and ammunition were seized from the location, and troops later demolished the militants’ hideout using explosives.
A separate operation in the Ladha area of South Waziristan proved more extensive. Acting on a tip, security forces detected militant movement in advance, moved to encircle the group, and killed five Khawarij fighters in the resulting engagement.
Meanwhile, in Balochistan’s Sasool area, security forces conducted a precision strike using quadcopter drones, killing four militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan. Officials noted that quadcopter support allowed for more accurate targeting during the raid.
Sources familiar with the operations said forces took extensive precautions throughout to safeguard civilian lives and property, ensuring no harm came to residents in the surrounding areas.
Naqvi Lauds Security Forces’ Performance
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the personnel involved, saying the intelligence-based operations reflected the readiness and professional strength of Pakistan’s security establishment. He added that the raids had disrupted planned militant activity in multiple regions.
In a formal statement, Naqvi said the killing of 11 terrorists was a testament to the discipline, commitment, and operational skill of the forces involved. He emphasized that the swift, coordinated response had thwarted the militants’ broader objectives.
