PM Departed to Attend OIC Meeting in Riyad
Islamabad: Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar embarked on a departure from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia on Friday, assuming the role of a caretaker leader.
His purpose is to represent Pakistan at the urgent gathering of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), specifically convened to address the intensifying crisis in Gaza.
Over the course of his official three-day visit, Prime Minister Kakar is scheduled to actively engage in the emergency meeting hosted in Riyadh.
The primary focus of this gathering is to deliberate on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza. Apart from participating in the discussions, he is slated to conduct sideline meetings with dignitaries, including heads of state and government from other participating nations.
Saudi Arabia has taken the initiative to convene this extraordinary summit of the OIC, highlighting the gravity of the situation in Gaza and the collective concern within the Islamic community.
Prime Minister Kakar’s involvement underscores Pakistan’s commitment to contributing to diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing the crisis and seeking a resolution through international cooperation.
