ISLAMABAD: On the 146th birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, President Dr. Arif Alvi and caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar have paid heartfelt tribute to the visionary poet.
In their individual messages, they hailed Dr. Allama Iqbal as a great benefactor of the Muslims in the subcontinent, crediting him with conceiving the idea of a separate homeland that eventually became a reality.
President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized Iqbal’s role as a profound thinker who instilled the spirit of unity among Muslims through his writings and poetry. He urged the nation to follow Iqbal’s teachings on Islam and embrace the philosophy of ‘Khudi’ (self), advocating for self-respect and human dignity to build a prosperous Pakistan.
Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, in his Iqbal Day message, highlighted how Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal raised the awareness of basic rights among Muslims, fostering a sense of unity. He praised Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi as a unique transformation for humanity to attain success in both this world and the hereafter. The Prime Minister reiterated Iqbal’s dream for Pakistan as a land of peace, political tolerance, and brotherhood.
Encouraging the youth to play a pivotal role in the country’s service and development, the Prime Minister urged them to adopt a positive and progressive mindset, aligning with Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s vision.
