Multan Sultans’ owner, Ali Khan Tareen, has issued an apology to Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, who serves as the captain of the team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In a post on X, Tareen addressed Rizwan, expressing regret for his misunderstandings.
The apology stems from a tweet Tareen shared on X in 2020 when Rizwan was playing for the Karachi Kings in the PSL.
That’s when he was playing for Karachi. They made us think this! 🙏🏼😄#GhalatFehmiMaaf https://t.co/KShTXtmjSv

In the tweet, Tareen had stated that Mohammad Rizwan wasn’t a T20 batter. However, with Rizwan’s outstanding performance as the linchpin for Multan Sultans in last two seasons, Tareen clarified, “That’s when he was playing for Karachi Kings. They made us think this! #GhalatFehmiMaaf.”
In a separate commendation, Tareen lauded Mohammad Rizwan, acknowledging him as an excellent captain who would lead the team.
