Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 15 terrorists in Balochistan during multiple intelligence-based operations, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations targeted India-backed militants actively involved in terror activities across the region.
In Harnai district, 12 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, also known as Fitna al-Khawarij, were killed after a fierce engagement with security forces. Another operation in Basima district resulted in the deaths of three Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the slain militants.
The ISPR statement emphasized that sanitization operations will continue to eliminate any remaining India-sponsored terrorists. These actions are part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam,” aimed at eradicating foreign-backed terrorism from Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their successful operations. President Zardari said the operations demonstrate the professional capability and determination of Pakistan’s security forces and reaffirmed that eliminating foreign-backed terrorism remains a top priority. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the significant successes of the security forces and expressed commitment to completely eradicating terrorism in the country.
Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in 2021, cross-border terrorist activity has increased, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. Pakistan launched “Operation Ghazab lil-Haq” in response, which has killed over 527 Afghan Taliban fighters, injured 755, destroyed 237 checkposts, captured 38, and eliminated 205 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns.
Prior to these operations, Pakistani forces also targeted seven terrorist camps belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, its affiliates, and Daesh-Khorasan along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Airstrikes in Nangarhar, Paktika, and Khost provinces killed more than 80 militants.
Despite multiple rounds of talks with the Afghan Taliban, no agreement was reached to curb cross-border terrorism. Previous border clashes in October 2025 killed over 200 militants and 23 Pakistani soldiers defending the homeland. The recent operations continue Pakistan’s efforts to secure its borders and eliminate terror threats from foreign-backed groups.
