As if the ongoing Indian interference and acts of terrorism in Balochistan were not enough, now alarming reports suggest the involvement of Israeli-linked institutions in the province. Recent developments indicate that a U.S.-based think tank, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), has launched a suspicious project titled “Balochistan Studies Project”.
What raises red flags is MEMRI’s well-documented association with Israeli intelligence agencies. Given its history of pushing a pro-Israel narrative and gathering intelligence under the cover of research, it is hard to believe that this initiative is purely academic.
Balochistan’s strategic geographic location—bordering Iran and Afghanistan and lying near Central Asia—makes it an area of high interest to Israel. The emerging narrative suggests that this project could be part of a broader Israeli plan to encircle Iran, especially by exploiting the already volatile Iranian-Baloch region known for long-standing unrest.
However, the threat may not stop at Iran. There is serious concern that India and Israel might be working together to fan the flames of unrest in Balochistan to fulfill their strategic goals. This alliance could potentially weaponize propaganda, spread disinformation, and destabilize the region under the pretense of research and intellectual inquiry.
Such actions have previously been seen under Indian influence, with fictitious media networks and fake NGOs promoting anti-Pakistan narratives. The fear now is that Israeli-backed platforms will reinforce these efforts, further fueling terrorism and rebellion in Balochistan while damaging Pakistan’s image in Western capitals.
This interference could seriously derail development projects in Balochistan. It also poses a direct threat to social stability in a province already struggling with poverty and limited resources. The people of Balochistan are weary of foreign interference, and this new dimension of external manipulation is deepening their fears and frustrations.
The convergence of Fitna-e-Hindustan (Indian mischief) with the Zionist scheme could make Balochistan’s challenges even more complex. What is currently known through media leaks is likely just the tip of the iceberg; most of these conspiracies operate in the shadows, with very little making it to the public domain.
In such a dangerous scenario, it is imperative to act swiftly and decisively. Pakistan must block every possible channel that could allow this foreign agenda to take root in Balochistan. National security should remain our top priority, and those who dare to spy under the cover of research must be exposed and stopped.
Any attempt to destabilize Pakistan through propaganda, fake studies, or secret alliances must be crushed with full force. The dream of establishing intelligence hubs disguised as research centers must be shattered before it becomes a reality.
