ISLAMABAD: The interim bail of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Toshakhana and 190-million-pound Al-Qadir Trust cases has been extended by the accountability court in Islamabad until November 17. Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir presided over the hearing.
Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Sardar Latif Khosa, didn’t appeared before the court. The judge inquired that where is the suspect. The National Accountability Bureau prosecutor mentioned her unawareness, citing Sardar Latif Khosa as the counsel for the case.
With no representation, the judge suggested fixing the case for Friday if no one was present. Consequently, the court adjourned the hearing until November 17.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court’s registrar office raised objections to Bushra Bibi’s application, filed through counsel Latif Khosa, seeking an order against her arrest or summons in any case. The objection argued that, without an FIR, a bail petition was not maintainable.
