Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted 11 operations across Pakistan, recovering 74kg of drugs and arresting 10 suspects, according to an ANF Headquarters spokesman.
In one operation, 3kg of ice was recovered from a Jeddah-bound passenger at Islamabad Airport. Another operation led to the seizure of 24kg of hashish from a suspect near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza in Attock. In Karachi, 12kg of hashish was recovered from a suspect in Jannat Gul Town.
In Khanewal, 9.6kg of hashish was confiscated from a drug smuggler. In Islamabad, 6kg of opium and 2kg of hashish were found in the possession of a woman on the M-1 motorway. Additionally, 4.8kg of hashish was seized from a vehicle on River Road in Karachi.
Near Sangjani Toll Plaza in Islamabad, 4.8kg of hashish was recovered from two suspects. On Link Road in Karachi, 2.4kg of hashish and 450 grams of ice were confiscated. In Peshawar, 3kg of ice was seized from a suspect near Pushtakhara Chowk.
Furthermore, 2kg of hashish was recovered from a suspect near Ayub National Park in Rawalpindi, and 800 grams of ice were seized near University Road in Peshawar.
Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway.
